Privacy Policy

Jared (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal connection manager for iPhone, operated by Siddhartha Konda doing business as Konda Labs. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Summary

• You control your data. Jared stores connection and interaction data you enter or import.
• Cloud sync requires Sign in with Apple and syncs only to your private account.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
• We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting in version 1.0.
• Optional Jared Pro purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat.

Information you provide

Depending on how you use Jared, the app may store:

• Contact details (names, companies, notes, tags, birthdays, reach-out cadence)
• Interaction history you log (calls, messages, meetings, notes)
• Contacts imported from Apple Contacts, if you grant permission
• Business card images captured with the camera or photo library, if you use the scanner

This information is user content and contact information you choose to keep in the app. It is used to provide Jared’s core features — organizing your network, reminders, and (if enabled) Intelligence features.

Sign in with Apple

If you sign in, Jared receives an Apple-authenticated user identifier and optional name/email according to your Apple ID choices. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device (Keychain). This identifier is used for account authentication and cloud sync.

Cloud sync

When signed in, your connection and interaction data syncs to your account in our Supabase-hosted database. Row-level security limits access to your own rows. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. You can use Jared offline; sync occurs when you are signed in and online.

Purchases (Jared Pro)

Optional subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are purchased through Apple’s App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify subscription status and unlock Pro features (such as home screen widgets and Jared Intelligence). RevenueCat processes App Store receipts and subscription status linked to your Sign in with Apple account. We do not store full payment card details.

Jared Intelligence

If you use Pro Intelligence features (for example, conversation icebreakers), limited keywords or context you initiate may be sent to our edge functions and third-party AI providers to generate suggestions. Usage may be subject to daily limits. Do not include information you do not want processed for this purpose.

Data stored on your device

Jared keeps a local database on your iPhone for offline use. Notification preferences and similar settings may be stored in UserDefaults on your device.

Permissions

• Contacts — only if you import or sync from Apple Contacts.
• Camera / Photo Library — only if you scan or save business cards.
• Notifications — only if you enable birthday or reach-out reminders.

Data retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete the app or delete your account. Cloud data is removed when you use Profile → Delete account, which permanently deletes your account and synced data. You may also email us for help.

Children

Jared is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
